Simply put, the one reality has been replace by indifference to “what is.” It’s been replaced with ifa, coulda, woulda, shoulda, thereby invalidating the rules of nature and he universe that we should be following. And we as the older generation have said nothing, which means we have given it our blessing.
Our children, today’s active young and middle age adults, grew up lacking respect for their parents. Yes, EVEN contempt for them… The toys we exchanged for love and attention, simply weren’t enough…..Dah!….. We left out the most important part of parenthood. As such, we earned their CONTEMPT!

Arguing a point of view
using generalizations in the abstract is fine, but that's not what the MediaOcracy
does.
The Media-Ocracy takes its generalizations and applies them to specific cases. Logicians call that using the Fallacy of Accident. For instance, shooting someone is a crime, and in the course of duty sometimes police officers have to shoot dangerous people. The Media-Ocracy would then jump to the false conclusion that any police officer who shoots a bad guy is, himself, a criminal!
They also make this logical mistake in reverse, which is called the Fallacy of Reverse Accident. The Media-Ocracy would have you believe that because one police officer may have acted improperly, all our men and women in blue are bad.
The media's lack of integrity drives it to spread these falsehoods across the broadcast and print outlets, and the Internet is even worse. This illogic spread by the Media-Ocracy is accepted as fact by much of the American public. The media promotes conflict by highlighting the negative and contentious. Have you ever heard a news report telling you that all the flights into Phoenix landed safely today? Of course not! But if one plane goes down, the media scares the public into thinking such occurrences are commonplace. That's the logical fallacy of “argumentum in terrorem”, or appeal to fear. Now we are seeing the self-appointed guardians of the realm training their man Obama to use their revolting tactic of wielding fear like a cudgel.
The same rules apply to our every day conversations. We all know someone who is always contrary, citing exceptions to the rule. If your friend tells you that, “Tax cuts are bad for business. I'm an accountant, and lower taxes mean fewer customers hiring me to save them on their taxes,” you are probably not going to call him on his fallacious reasoning. Your have “bought” the crap your friend is “selling.” The reason we do this is because the Media-Ocracy, which has surrounded most Americans in this generation, has programmed us to be afraid of circumstances beyond our control, instead of inspiring Americans to reach higher, work harder and succeed despite adversity.
The America I love doesn't focus on what it cannot do; it focuses on our incredible power and potential

These sniveling baby boomers who were taught to dislike parents >
dislike authority > dislike the MILITARY, ...gave birth to the
ANTI-COP generation.....Baby Boomers, Unintended consequences squared. Take a bow!
by tony on Jan.22, 2009,The beginning of the end to our culture. We have you to thank, my generation. Post WWII. Veterans whose sacrifice saved us from needing to speak a language other than English.
Our evolved Family with Vanity, Narrcissism celebrated have negatively impacted our more traditional values...that society’s life blood. Unfortunate for us many with misguided thinking, now identifying with the “Jones” gave birth and became parents
Welcome to the world of Me, and mine….We as a generation, my generation did not mean to totally mess things up, it was simply these ”unintended consequences.” So much for vision, and prudent civic responsibility. We didn’t want to just exist anymore, our Parents didn’t want us to either….our parents were trained and marketed to to believe that their role was to make life better, and for the generation after that for them to have it better, so on and on. With this logic…one day no one will never have to do anything anymore, because less is failure.
What was it, …I mean, really, everything we are about for hundreds of years, generation after generation, really when, how and why have we LOST of Family tradition. I don’t mean just the “American Family” I mean the core, foundation of what constituted life, period!
This is family. You know..children, Daddy, Mommy, and children, with all one thing in mind…to live a just and fair life…so really what this starts with is the breakdown of family and all that came with it. Values.
Where did society, our government and our values all begin their downward cycle?
That my friends is what this is, a cycle…going down now and eventually our children’s children will have enough smarts to change the direction of the pendulum…maybe even stop it for a while at its zenith.
I am speaking in generalities here, but bear with me.
It started to go wrong after the ‘50’s when families needed two incomes to keep their heads above water never mind “keeping up with the Jones.” We needed bigger houses, two cars, and lots and lots of toys that American manufacturers provided and marketers became sophisticated.
The priorities our leaders demonstrated were often misplaced. Greed now taking root in our culture, moral relevance close behind, after all we have to “make it right” in our head.
The guiding light of human behavior often were religious based. Secular values by definition invalidates our traditional religious roots, fundamental of our culture. This secular movement I was aware of as a child. Attending Church, I often would skip, and noting, that I was doing wrong, but more and more were doing it, Always comfortable with doing what was wrong, I saw many didn’t, they would rather, …change things, so that wrong or right was no longer an issue, it simply didn’t apply. How convenient. I saw at this age of 7, 8 or 9. I saw it, first hand…and it all grew worse
For Every Action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Now where could I have gotten that?
Unintended Consequences meets indifference to reality |
Every coin has two sides (don’t forget the edge, making it three). Those with vision see the “unintended consequences” (or price), using “natural laws,” logic, deduction, and reasoning…a requirement when looking at the logical progression of thought.
Our price was the loss of family values, more specifically quality family time, not only between entire families, but also between Fathers and Sons, and Mothers and Daughters.
We chose to replace that time with gifts and trinkets to our children to keep them happy, TV’s and electronic games to keep them busy having fun because we didn’t have as much time as we wanted to be with them……not really, many of you didn’t. My Mother, bless her soul she gave me MY Identity. SELF Image sustained me, not Image, Image lacking the fuel now has their vanity to feed as well.
Think of the lyrics from the Harry Chapin song from several years ago, “The Cats in the Cradle”:“When you coming home, dad?” “I don’t know when, But we’ll get together then. You know we’ll have a good time then.”
Of course they never do, and in the end, when the father is old and his son is grown, he tells his father the same words and the father realizes, “he has grown up just like me.” ..aahhh..the down hill slope….
In the “wink of an eye,” our own children grew older, AND they found something missing in their lives that they could not understand. They didn’t know how to define it, and we hadn’t given them the gift of introspection to figure out what it was. …
But, others came along and provided them with answers, but wrong thinking answers that our kids bought into. (see below-Alinsky Rules)
Like, nothing is ever right or wrong; only degrees in between…or perception is reality and other such garbage.
With this kind of logic, we can justify everything we do…every evil deed can be justified and rendered as even being OK. (Arguments of Moral Relevancy speaks to this concern)
Everything can be justified by saying it is not our fault and we are all victims. But, if you think this kind of perception is reality, then you are living an illusion!
This kind of reality and morality is more than an illusion. It is garbage!! Think of a UFO coming to our planet for the first time. He knows nothing about us, so he sees things as if he were a child…no point of view, no perspective other than what is. What reality does he see? Not the same one as our children who are being “spun” a reality that isn’t real. (Remember Universal and Natural Law say there is only one reality).
(You made the bed, now sleep it it.)
And sadly that contempt flowed over into all aspects of their lives, including people in their own generation who feel the same way.
Good God…If you don’t at least respect your Mother, then you are in trouble. ”Show me how a man treats his mother and I will tell you how he treats all the women in his life.”
This contempt I speak of didn’t stop there…oh no, it went on to a complete contempt of authority, of values, of reality and most of society. Negative energy, is to Nature what Hate is to Religion.

Conservatism the New Counter Culture....by Shelby Steel....AWESOME ARTICLE...from the link below.
On the night of the dinner it occurred to me to make the point that
America was the world’s exceptional nation — not that its people were
superior, but that its wealth and power bestowed upon it a level of
responsibility in the world that other nations did not have to bear.
Exceptionalism as a burden, not a vanity, was my point. Through my wife I
had had an involvement with a charitable organization that focused on
the problem of obstetric fistula in Africa. On a visit to Africa in
behalf of that group, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much we
Americans were respected for our compassion and generosity, quite apart
from our wealth and military power. The people I met saw something
essentially good in the American people. On one blazing hot afternoon in
a remote village in the nation of Niger, a local chieftain,
dramatically bedecked in the head wrap and flowing robe of his desert
people, told me through an interpreter that it was striking to him to
meet people who would come halfway around the world to help his people —
to visit, as he said in a phrase that mixed pathos with eloquence, “a
country lost in the sun.”
I recounted this story at the charity dinner simply to make the point
that American exceptionalism in the world had as much to do with the
largesse of our character as with our great wealth and power, and that
causes like the one at hand only enhanced our reputation in the world as
a fundamentally decent nation — a beacon, as it were, of human
possibility. I thought this would be the easiest of points to make. And
things were in fact going smoothly until I uttered the words “American
exceptionalism.” Instantly — almost before I could get the words out of
my mouth — quiet boos erupted from one side of the banquet room. Not
loud ugly boos, but polite remonstrative boos, the kind that
respectfully censure you for an impropriety. I was shocked. This was a
young, bright, prosperous American audience reproaching me for
mentioning the exceptionalism of our nation. It was as if they were
saying, “Don’t you understand that even the phrase ‘American
exceptionalism’ is a hubris that evokes the evils of white supremacy? It
is an indecency that we won’t be associated with.”
In booing, these audience members were acting out an irony: They were
good Americans precisely because they were skeptical of American
greatness. Their skepticism was a badge of innocence because it
dissociated them from America’s history of evil. To unreservedly buy
into American exceptionalism was, for them, to turn a blind eye on this
evil, and they wanted to make the point that they were far too evolved
for that. They would never be like those head-in-the-sand Americans who
didn’t understand that American greatness was tainted by evil. And you
could hear — in the spontaneity of their alarm, like a knee jerking at
the tap of a rubber hammer — that their innocence of this evil was now a
central part of their identity. It was reflex now; they didn’t have to
think about it anymore.
In its hunger for innocence, post-1960s liberalism fell into a pattern
in which anti-Americanism — the impulse, as the cliché puts it, to
“blame America first” — guaranteed one’s innocence of the American past.
Here in anti-Americanism was the Left’s all-defining formula:
relativism-dissociation-legitimacy-power. Anti-Americanism is
essentially a relativism — a false equivalency — that says America,
despite her greatness, is no better an example to the world than many
other countries. And in this self-effacement there is a perfect
dissociation from the American past, and thus a new moral legitimacy —
and so, finally, an entitlement to power.
If, at the charity dinner, I had found a way to sneer a little at
America, I might have elicited a few cheers from the same side of the
room (obviously an in-crowd) that had booed my reference to American
exceptionalism. But cheers or boos, that side of the audience only
reinforced what most Americans already suspect: that in the culture war
between liberalism and conservatism that followed the tumultuous 1960s,
liberalism won. That is, liberalism won the moral authority, the power,
to set the terms of social relations among Americans — the manners, the
protocols, the ideas of decency, the rules establishing how people must
interact within the most diverse society in human history. Liberalism
gave America a new “correctness” that enforced these new rules with the
threat of stigmatization. There are still, certainly, ferocious debates
between liberals and conservatives in many realms — economic policy,
education, foreign policy, immigration, the environment, and so on. And
these debates will surely grind on.
