* The data involving deaths related to these weapons does not include details of the
individual events. As a result, you can’t tell how many bad guys were killed in the
commission of a crime that required the use of deadly force protection. It’s not realistic
to assume that none of the deaths were undeserved.
You are five times more likely to be stabbed to death by someone than you are to be
shot with a rifle or assault weapon. So why isn’t the government screaming about that?

You are 44 times more likely to get killed by a drunk driver than by a psycho blowing
you away with an AR-15.

You are three times more likely to get beaten to death by some crazy person using their
hands, fists, or feet than an assault weapon.

You are 118 times more likely to kill yourself than getting wacked by some assault
weapon-toting nut-case.

You are 13 times more likely to be murdered by an illegal alien than by somebody with
an AK-47. Remember that the next time you go to Wal-Mart.

You are 1,846 times more likely to die of heart disease than by getting mowed down by
an assault weapon. Enjoy your delicious red meat tonight.

You are 166 times more likely to die from the flu than from an AR-15 blast. Better start
wearing a surgical mask whenever you leave home.

You are 1.5 times more likely to get beaten to death with a hammer or a club than by
an assault weapon. Are you ready to start carrying concealed?

You are 380 times more likely to simply die in an accident than by somebody pumping a
magazine load into your head from an AK-47. Don’t slip on that ice…

You are 1,372 times more likely to die from cigarette smoking or related disease than by
an assault weapon. Go ahead… take another really long drag on that thing.

Your unborn child is 3,754 times more likely to die from getting a sharp instrument
jammed into their little brain than you are by pissing off an MS-13 gang member with
an assault weapon under his coat.

You are 262 times more likely to die from Alzheimer’s disease than from getting shot by
someone’s rifle. In this case, at least, you wouldn’t even know it was happening.

So why is the government bending over backwards to ban assault weapons, which
compared to most of the country’s leading causes of death are absolutely insignificant
statistically? Are they so blind they have forgotten about the real causes listed above
or are they just exploiting a recent crisis to gain political points?
Or is it that they are all so incompetent that out of a list of 26 causes of death, they
could only bring themselves to work on the one with the smallest impact on society?
